Parents & Citizens Association
Since the opening of the Lanyon High School in 1996, the P&C Association has always been a strong and supportive committee. As most people are aware, the P&C plays an important role in the school community.
We assist with many school ventures;
- provide a canteen service to our students and staff
- co-ordinate the annual Twilight Fair
- provide financial assistance for various programs and school wish-list plans
- and more importantly, with our regular meetings, provide a relaxed yet informative forum for providing two-way communication between the School Principal/School Board/School and the community.
We are always looking for parent help with our ventures, no matter how big or small and we are always open to new ideas and suggestions, which will assist the development of our children at school.
The canteen service which the P&C provides, aims to be a self-funding service and offers a wide range of healthy, nutritious and popular selection of foods items, in a hygienic, congenial, friendly and efficiently run environment. The staff is always willing to have a chat and a cuppa with anyone who wishes to drop in and see the canteen in action. Volunteers are always needed and made very welcome.
The P&C looks forward to your company at their regular meetings. These are set at the beginning of the year and, this year, will be on the 4th Thursday of every month (excluding school holidays). Commencing at 7:00pm in the Information Centre (Library).
