Debating is a way in which people engage in formal argument about a relevant topic. Each year, our students compete in a variety of debating competitions, including the ACT Debating Union (ACTDU)’s Ford, Murray and Crime Prevention trophies and the Legislative Assembly for the ACT Interschool Parliamentary Debates. Our students’ engagement with this activity has developed their confidence in their ideas and their ability to articulate them, as well as lasting friendships between team-mates. Debating is a rewarding program that continues to enhance the progress of our talented students.
