Lanyon High Information Centre (Library)

Lanyon High School has an up-to-date library collection supported by a computer network including Internet access. The Information Centre enables students to successfully develop research skills, with a 'help desk' to assist them to locate information and answer their assigned tasks.

Resources provided by the Information Centre include: reference materials, information texts, novels (including titles for older readers), videos, audio tapes, magazines, newspapers, careers information, photocopying, printing and picture books. The Information Centre computers allow students to access programs to complete research before and during school. Information Centre staff are available to assist students with book selection and questions.

Borrowing

Students may borrow up to eight books for a two week period on top of text books. Students may request extra materials for study.

Opening Hours

The Information Centre staff provide as much access time as possible. The Centre is open from 8.30 am to 3.15 pm from Monday to Friday.
