Lanyon High offers students the opportunity to participate in the Lanyon High School Concert Band. This opportunity is available for students in across year 7-10. No previous musical instrument experience is necessary. As a part of the program, students are provided with instruments, music, expert tuition and performance opportunities. This is an incredible opportunity to be involved in a prestigious and valuable band program. Students join with other Canberra High schools to attend combined rehearsals which culminates in a performance at Llewellyn Hall, ANU School of Music.
