Year 7 and 10 are getting back into the swing of learning onsite this week. We look forward to welcoming our year 8 and 9 students back next week as well. Here's an example of the Year 10 Food and Hospitality class making delicious fettucine carbonara this week.

Return to school plans

The dates have been announced for students to return to school sites. Students need to ensure they bring their fully charged device and headphones. If you have borrowed any assets from the school, students will need to sign these back in through the front office.

Please notify the school as soon as possible if you wish to keep your child at home past their due return date so that we can plan a remote learning program that suits the number of students in each year group. 


The Front office building, including Student Services, is currently being renovated and the entire building is fenced off.  The Front Office has been relocated to the Enrichment Centre. Access to the front office is via the courts.


College enrolments

A reminder to everyone that high school and college enrolments are now open, and our Year 10 students need to make sure they enrol in the next few weeks. Each college (and high school for that matter) will have information for prospective enrolments on their webpage and we encourage all Year 10 students to find out as much about their college as possible before hand. More information has been provided to Year 10 students through their PC google classroom.  Please get in touch with the school if you have any questions.

Term 2 Online Learning

In the 'Digital Learning' section of the website you will find a variety of links outlining the online arrangements for Term 2, 2020 as well as support materials.



You will also find a copy of our timetable for this term.  We have put a lot of thought and effort into developing a timetable that families can use as a guide but also arrange flexibly what works for them.  We understand that this flexibility is a requirement in these times.  As educators we also know that sitting at a computer for many hours a day does not provide a full range of learning opportunities.  I want to reassure you that we as educators remain the ones coordinating, and leading learning and we ask parents to continue in their role as supporters and encouragers.


Teachers are establishing the routines for their classes.  There is some flexibility around the timetable for students – this is a guide not a strict timetable.  Teachers will communicate with students which lesson they will need to be actively engaged online and what work they can do flexibly, at least one lesson per class, per week will be a live delivery lesson for which students will need to attend.  The timetabled lessons are also a good indication of when it is best for students to contact teachers with questions.


During the Learning from Home period, daily student attendance is defined as contact established with the student or parent/carer. Regular contact is important to support connection to school, student wellbeing and learning from home. The easiest way to do this is for the students to log into their Pastoral Care Google classroom and answer the attendance question ‘I am accessing my learning from home today’, with a simple ‘yes’.  This will be between at 9:40am and 9:50am, during the 10 minute brain break. Please be aware that the Pastoral Care Teacher cannot ‘see’ when a student has engaged with one of their subject Google Classroom pages. That is why it is much easier if students answer ‘yes’ on the PC page, as the attendance database does not communicate with the Google Classroom platform. If for some reason that student cannot do this, then we ask that parents/carers call or email the front office to let us know that their child is (or is not) attending online learning for that day. In this way, we are able to identify students who are struggling and allocated additional support and check-ins for those students.


Pastoral Care teachers will be doing a weekly check-in with students and will be running social and emotional learning lessons during the scheduled PC time.

Attendance at Safe and Supervised School (SSS) sites

Students can continue to be registered for SSS sites by filling in the form at https://bit.ly/actsupervisedcare

Also attached is an electronic copy of Safe and Supervised Sites consent form for parents to complete

for each student attending a SSS site.  

Transport to SSS sites

Transportation services started on Wednesday 29 April 2020 for students attending  SSS site from allocated feeder schools. Only students registered for TCCS bus transport can access the service. Parents must register students to access the service by completing the form at t.ly/Pxpe into your search browser. If parents need assistance with completing the form they can call 6205 5429 option 4.
